The person that she considers her hero is also a family member and he’s her younger brother Bob. According to her, he is a lot like their dad and it’s admirable how he stands up for what he believes in even when he’s just a young boy.
She’s dating a wakeboarder
Those who’ve been watching her as a little girl on her parents’ show might be surprised to know that she’s dating. Yes, she’s now a young lady and her boyfriend is wakeboarder Chandler Powell. The 19-year old Florida native became a pro in this sport in 2006 and he had been competing in various events. They started dating last year and when asked about him at first, she admitted that there was someone special in her life, although she didn’t give his name. Today, the couple doesn’t mind showing their sweetness to the world. Adorable!
Bindi is NOT on Facebook
If you’re trying to find her official Facebook page and you couldn’t find it, that’s because she doesn’t have one. The actress said that social media freaks her out to death and it seemed that Facebook was a very huge world so she didn’t join. However, she confirmed that she has Twitter and Instagram. So if you want to follow her, check out her account on those two sites.
Bindi also likes to dress up
You may always see her with her boots and comfortable outfit for caring for animals, but this doesn’t mean that she hates to glam up. She also likes to dress up every now and then. However, she still prefers her comfy style, which is convenient for her job. Come to think of it, who would want to be on high heels when chasing after animals right? You go girl!
She was named after her dad’s fave animals
Steve had a favorite crocodile at the Australia Zoo whose name was Bindi and that’s where they got her name. Bindi also means “young girl” in Australian Aboriginal language. Her middle name Sue was derived from the family’s pet dog Sui.
