Long time ago, Angelina Jolie was Hollywood’s bad girl but now she is one of the busiest moms around. With six kids to take care of, Jolie is on full-time mom duty. Julie shares custody with Brad Pitt over their six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
Maddox
While filming the movie “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” in Cambodia in 2001, Angelina Jolie found herself enchanted with the country, the history and the residents. That new love was the cause for Jolie to come back later that year to adopt an orphan kid, Maddox Chivan, originally named Rath Vibol, On March 10, 2002. At that time, Maddox was seven months old. The adoption was set at the beginning to be made along with ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton, but Angelina was the one to make the final adoption, and at the beginning she raised Maddox as a single mom.
Zahara Marley
On July 6, 2005, Jolie adopted her second child, a baby girl named Zahara Marley. Zahara was born as Yemsrach six months earlier in Awasa, Ethiopia. A while after the adoption, Jolie’s life partner, Brad Pitt, has decided to officially adopt Maddox and Zahara as his children.
Shiloh Nouvel
Jolie’s and Pitt’s first biological child together, Shiloh Nouvel, was born on May 27, 2006, in Swakopmund, Namibia, due to the fact Pit and Jolie decided to give birth to their child away from Hollywood and the paparazzi. Shiloh is reportedly wearing only “boys’ clothes”, wearing a short haircu, and potentially dealing with some gender issues.
Pax Thien
Jolie’s second son was adopted by her On March 15, 2007 from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Jolie had filed papers for the adoption by herself due to Vietnamese adoption regulations. After returning to the States, Brad had filed a request to officially become Pax’s father.
Pax was born as Pham Quang Sang on November 29, 2003. After the adoption, Pitt and Jolie changed his name which translate as “peaceful sky”. Pax seems to be following his parent’s footsteps, making his first steps in the movie and music industry.
Knox Léon, and Vivienne Marcheline
In May 2008, Jolie announced she and Pitt are expecting once again. On July 12, 2008, Jolie gave birth to son, Knox Léon, and a daughter, Vivienne Marcheline in a hospital in Nice, France. The twins took their first photos for People and Hello! Magazines. The payment for the photos was donated to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. Vivienne took her first steps on showbiz with a small role on the “Maleficent” movie, alongside Jolie.
The whole family photographed for Vogue magazine on the November 2015 issue, where they were being presented as the perfect family. After being married for only two years, the couple decided to split in September 2016.
